◆ Integrations

Every channel. One tablet.

Zay-OS plugs into the systems your kitchen already runs — your POS, the delivery marketplaces, Stripe for payments, Google + AI search for discovery. Direct orders, Uber Eats, DoorDash, Grubhub, and phone-ins land on one screen in one ticket flow.

Quick answer

Zay-OS integrates with your POS through Otter (Clover, Square and Shift4 included; Toast with Toast's own $50 a month fee), Uber Eats + DoorDash + Grubhub for marketplace ingestion, Stripe Connect for payments (operator keeps PCI scope with Stripe), Google Business Profile + AI engines (ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini) for discovery, and text messages and email for customer comms.

The hub: Otter

Otter is how every marketplace order reaches your kitchen tablet, and how your direct menu gets pushed back out to the apps.

Otter is how every marketplace order reaches your kitchen tablet, and how your direct menu gets pushed back out to the apps. It is the connective tissue that lets one tablet handle every channel.

Otter

Order aggregation

Marketplace ingestion (Uber Eats, DoorDash, Grubhub) into one kitchen tablet. Menu push from Zay-OS out to all three apps. Order injection from direct orders into your POS. Included on Operator + Tablet and Concierge tiers.

Point of sale

POS integration is included on every plan.

POS integration is included on every plan. Every POS is reached through Otter: you approve the connection from inside your own POS account.

Clover

POS

Included. Orders from your Zayos site post to Clover as tickets, and the online menu follows your Clover menu.

Square

POS

Included. Orders post to Square as tickets, and the online menu follows your Square menu.

Included. You ask Shift4 to switch on the Otter integration for your account.

Toast

POS

Works too. Toast bills the restaurant its own $50 a month integration fee; that fee is Toast's and is not part of the Zayos price.

Delivery marketplaces

You keep the apps for discovery.

You keep the apps for discovery. Their orders flow into the same kitchen tablet as your direct orders via Otter — no second device, no separate tablet stack.

Uber Eats

Marketplace

Menu push, order ingestion, status updates, refund management. Ingested via Otter.

DoorDash

Marketplace

Menu push, order ingestion, status updates, refund management. Ingested via Otter.

Grubhub

Marketplace

Menu push, order ingestion, status updates, refund management. Ingested via Otter.

Delivery couriers

Delivery drivers without the marketplace listing.

Delivery drivers without the marketplace listing. A diner orders on your own site, dispatch books a courier from the networks below, and no percentage of the food leaves the ticket.

A delivery courier is booked for each direct delivery order. The diner pays the delivery fee, and the delivery tip goes to the driver.

Payments + tax

Stripe processes every direct order — your card data never touches Zay-OS, your PCI scope stays with Stripe.

Stripe processes every direct order — your card data never touches Zay-OS, your PCI scope stays with Stripe. Sales tax is calculated per location, and your sales-tax page shows what you collected with CSV exports for filing.

Stripe Connect

Payments

Direct payouts to your bank. Apple Pay, Google Pay, all major cards at checkout. Stripe holds card data; you never see a card number. PCI scope stays with Stripe.

Discovery + SEO

Direct orders only work if diners find you.

Direct orders only work if diners find you. We push your hours, menu, and reviews to the places that matter, and harden your site for both Google and AI search.

Google Business Profile

Local SEO

Hours, menu, photos, and review-response sync. Show up correctly in Google Maps and the local pack.

Google Search + AI Overviews

SEO

Schema.org markup, llms.txt, mobile-perfect Lighthouse posture so Google Search and the AI Overview cite your site by name.

ChatGPT / Perplexity / Claude / Gemini

GEO

Allow-listed in robots.txt with structured llms.txt so generative search engines can quote your pricing, hours, and menu correctly.

Apple Maps + Apple Intelligence

Discovery

Hours + menu visibility for the half of iPhone users who never leave Apple Maps. Applebot allow-listed for citation in Siri answers.

Customer comms

Your customer list is yours.

Your customer list is yours. Reach diners on the channel they actually open, without paying the apps to deliver the same diner again.

Text messages

Messaging

Order updates by text ("your food is ready") from day one, and text campaigns to customers who opted in. SMS marketing is included. We set it up with you when you want it, because US carriers require each restaurant's texts to be registered before marketing messages can go out. Until then, order-update texts work from day one.

Email

Email

Order emails and marketing email to your own customer list, in your restaurant's brand.

Why Otter sits at the center

No new tablet. No new workflow.

Every restaurant we onboard already runs a delivery tablet. Otter is what lets Zay-OS pour your direct orders into that same tablet alongside the marketplaces, and what lets your menu cascade out to Uber Eats, DoorDash, and Grubhub the moment you change a price. One source of truth (your menu in Zay-OS), one destination (your kitchen tablet), every channel in between.

What flows IN to your tablet
  • ◆ Direct orders from your Zay-OS site
  • ◆ Uber Eats orders
  • ◆ DoorDash orders
  • ◆ Grubhub orders
  • ◆ Phone-in orders the host took
What flows OUT from your menu
  • ◆ Menu push to Uber Eats, DoorDash, Grubhub
  • ◆ Hours + 86 ("we are out") in real time
  • ◆ Price changes propagated everywhere
  • ◆ Photo + description sync
  • ◆ Order push into your POS
Integration questions

What operators ask first.

Do I have to switch off DoorDash and Uber Eats to use Zay-OS?
No. The marketplaces stay for discovery. On Operator + Tablet and Concierge, Otter ingests Uber Eats, DoorDash, and Grubhub into the same kitchen tablet as your direct orders. You decide how much volume you steer to direct ordering over time.
What if my POS is not on the list?
Zayos connects Clover, Square and Shift4 at no extra cost, and Toast with Toast's own $50 a month fee, each through Otter. If your POS is not one of those four, tell us before you sign and we will tell you plainly whether it connects. Without a POS connection, direct orders are handled in the Zayos dashboard, and on the $499 Operator + Tablet plan on the kitchen tablet.
Does Zay-OS work with my existing Otter account?
Yes. If you are already on Otter, tell us when you start and we set it up with you. If you are not on Otter, we set it up with you as part of onboarding.
Who handles PCI compliance for my direct orders?
Stripe. Card data never touches Zay-OS — Stripe Connect handles the card capture and storage, so your PCI scope stays with them, not you. You get the receipt and the payout; Stripe gets the regulatory burden.
How does Zay-OS handle my sales tax?
Sales tax is calculated per location and collected at checkout on every direct order. Your sales-tax page shows what you collected today, this month and this year, with CSV exports for filing. Filing and paying the tax stays with you and your accountant.
Can I trigger custom workflows when an order arrives?
Yes. Zay-OS exposes outbound webhooks for every order lifecycle event (placed, accepted, ready, picked up, refunded). Pipe them into Zapier, Make, n8n, or your own internal tool to fire SMS, accounting entries, kitchen displays, anything.
