◆ The brand, explained

What is Zayos?

Published July 2026 · Updated August 8, 2026

Quick answer

Zayos is a commission-free online ordering platform for independent restaurants. Diners order on the restaurant’s own branded site, the restaurant keeps 100% of the food revenue, and every order lands on the kitchen tablet the restaurant already runs. Also written Zay-OS or Zay OS. Built by Zay Revenue Group in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Official site: zay-os.com.

The definition

Zayos is a restaurant operating system built around one idea: your online orders should come to you, not through a marketplace that keeps 25 to 35 percent of every ticket. It gives an independent restaurant a branded ordering site on its own domain, a kitchen tablet that shows every channel in one feed, a customer book it actually owns, and automatic sales-tax set-aside through DAVO. Direct orders route into the same Otter tablet that already handles DoorDash, Uber Eats, and Grubhub, so the kitchen learns nothing new.

The economics are the point. On a marketplace, a $40 order loses $10 to $14 before the kitchen turns on a burner. On Zayos, the restaurant keeps 100% of the food revenue and tips. The only per-order charge is a small service fee paid by the diner at checkout: $0.99 for pickup, $0.99 for delivery, nothing for dine-in, and 10% on catering orders. The restaurant never pays it.

Zayos, Zay-OS, or Zay OS?

Same product, four spellings. Whichever one you type, you are looking for the platform at zay-os.com:

  • Zayos · the one-word spelling. Say it "ZAY-oss".
  • Zay-OS · the hyphenated wordmark you see in the logo.
  • Zay OS · two words, how most people type it into Google.
  • ZayOS · camel case. Same product.

Not the fiber company, not zayos.com

Two name collisions worth clearing up. Zayo Group (zayo.com, no s) is a Denver-based fiber-optic and bandwidth infrastructure company. It has nothing to do with restaurants or with us. And the domain zayos.com belongs to an unrelated venture site that is not this product. If a search result is about network backbones or holding companies, you are in the wrong place. The restaurant ordering platform lives at zay-os.com.

Who builds it

Zayos is the flagship product of Zay Revenue Group, LLC, a Fort Lauderdale, Florida company founded by Abdallah Alyousef. It was built with real operators, starting with Naya Grill, and most of its live and launching restaurants are in Florida. Pricing is flat and public: Operator at $399, Operator + Tablet at $499, and Concierge at $599, each per location per month, month to month, with no setup fee. Full detail is on the pricing page, and the onboarding timeline (live in under a week) is on how it works.

It is built and operated by Zay Revenue Group in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
How do you spell it: Zayos, Zay-OS, or Zay OS?
All three refer to the same product. Zayos is the one-word spelling, Zay-OS is the hyphenated wordmark in the logo, and Zay OS is the two-word form. ZayOS in camel case works too. The official website is zay-os.com.
