Read my delivery statement: where did the money go?
Type five numbers from one DoorDash, Uber Eats or Grubhub payout statement: gross sales, commission, marketing fees, adjustments and payout. This page shows in plain words where the money went and your effective take rate, the share of sales that did not reach you. Nothing is stored or sent.
- Commission:
- Marketing and promo fees:
- Adjustments and refunds:
- Other, not explained by those three:
- Paid to you:
Take rate = (gross sales minus payout) divided by gross sales. With no payout typed, it is (commission + marketing + adjustments) divided by gross sales. This is arithmetic on the numbers you typed, not a statement about any app's rates. Refunds went to diners, not to the app; they are counted because they did not reach you.

What is an effective take rate?
It is the share of your gross sales on a delivery app that did not reach your bank account: gross sales minus your payout, divided by gross sales. It is usually higher than the commission on your plan, because marketing fees, promotions you funded, refunds and other adjustments come out too.
Where do I find these numbers on my statement?
Use the totals for one payout period. Gross sales is the food subtotal before any fees. Commission is the line the app calls commission, marketplace fee or marketing fee. Marketing covers ads and promotions you funded. Adjustments covers refunds and error charges. Payout is what was deposited.
Listed rates, for comparison with your own: what DoorDash charges, what Uber Eats charges, what Grubhub charges. More: all free tools.
