Yes. Square is a POS first — it runs your in-store register, your KDS, your sales tax inside the Square ecosystem. Zay-OS layers on top via Otter to add a branded direct-ordering site on your own domain, ingest Uber Eats / DoorDash / Grubhub onto the same tablet, and write back to Square as your POS. You keep every dollar you spent on Square hardware and add the channels Square does not own.

Is Square Online Ordering enough by itself?

Only if you do not want marketplace ingestion and you are fine with Square-branded checkout. Square Online Ordering is genuinely commission-free, mobile-friendly, and integrates with the POS — but it stops there. It does not pull Uber Eats / DoorDash / Grubhub into the same tablet, it does not give you Florida-tuned SEO + GEO, and the brand of the storefront leans Square, not yours. Do I have to switch off Square POS to use Zay-OS?
