Zayos connects to Square for Restaurants through Otter. Direct orders from your Zayos site post into Square as normal tickets, already paid. In store cards keep running on Square, direct orders settle through Stripe, so you read two payout reports instead of one.
I already have Square Online. Why would I add Zayos?
Square Online will take an order. That was never the hard part. The hard part is everything around the order: getting found by someone who does not already know your name, keeping the delivery apps from becoming three more tablets on the pass, and walking away from every order with the diner's contact details instead of just the ticket.
Zayos gives you an ordering site on your own domain, built to be quoted by Google and by AI assistants when somebody nearby searches for what you sell. It pulls DoorDash, Uber Eats and Grubhub onto the same kitchen tablet as your direct orders. And every direct order writes a customer record you own, which is what makes a second visit something you can cause rather than wait for.
If you do not care about search, do not run the marketplaces, and never plan to text a regular, Square Online is a fine place to stay. We would rather tell you that than sell you a plan you do not need.
Where does the money land, Square or Stripe?
This is the part nobody explains before you sign, so here it is in one table. Four kinds of order, four money paths, one bank account at the end.

How do I close out a day with two processors?
- 01 Read the kitchen tablet total first. It is the only number that counts every channel.
- 02 Square Dashboard covers everything rung on Square hardware. It will not include your direct online orders, and that is expected, not a bug.
- 03 Stripe covers direct online orders and pays into the same bank account you already use.
- 04 Cash and tips behave the same as always. Zayos never holds a tip, 100 percent of tips stay yours.
- 05 Sales tax on direct orders is set aside daily by DAVO rather than sitting in your operating balance until the state asks for it.
What actually happens when a diner orders?
One direct order, start to finish, on a Square kitchen.
A regular opens your Zayos site, reorders their usual, and pays with Apple Pay. Stripe captures the card. Zayos never sees a card number.
The ticket appears on the kitchen tablet, in the same feed as the DoorDash and Uber Eats tickets, with a sound the line already recognizes.
The order posts into Square as a paid ticket with items, modifiers and notes, so the counter does not have to ring anything.
The kitchen marks it ready. The diner gets a text. If it is delivery, dispatch is already assigned.
The order sits in your Zayos reporting with the diner attached to it: name, phone, email, order history. That contact is yours, and it is the asset a marketplace never gives you.
What do I need on hand to connect Square?
A Square account you own
You approve the connection with your own Square login. We never ask for your password, and we cannot approve it for you.
Square for Restaurants or Square POS running your menu
Your menu master lives where you already keep it. We mirror the structure rather than asking you to rebuild it in a new place.
A bank account for Stripe payouts
Usually the same account Square already pays into. Two deposit sources, one destination.
A decision about Square Online
If you run Square Online today, pick which ordering page is the front door before launch. Two live ordering links split traffic and reporting.
Cloud point of sale connections are usually working within one to three business days of your approval, and most Zayos launches are live in under two weeks with the first direct order inside a week.
What does the Zayos Square integration not do?
Zayos does not move your in store payments off Square, does not merge Square and Stripe into one payout or one report, never sees or stores a card number, does not migrate Square Marketing lists or Square Loyalty balances, and does not close your Square Online site for you.
Also worth saying plainly. Square sets its own hardware and plan requirements for Square for Restaurants, and we cannot waive them. Square's processing rate applies to Square rung sales only, and it is between you and Square. Historical Square reporting stays in Square. And loyalty in Zayos is its own program, so a balance a regular built up in a Square program does not carry across.
