How much does BentoBox cost now? Zayos explains

Published July 2026 · Updated July 26, 2026

Quick answer

BentoBox no longer publishes a price. As of July 2026 getbento.com states BentoBox is now Clover and that BentoBox products are only available to Clover POS customers, so the cost is a bundled Clover quote: hardware, a software plan, processing, and BentoBox modules.

Start here

Why does BentoBox no longer have a price page?

Because the page that used to answer that question now answers a different one. Visit getbento.com/pricing today and the first thing it says is "BentoBox is now Clover." There is no plan, no tier and no dollar figure anywhere on it. Existing customers are pointed at their customer success manager or at hello@getbento.com, and the page adds one line that most write-ups have not caught up with yet.

"Currently, BentoBox products/services are only available to Clover POS customers." getbento.com/pricing, accessed 26 July 2026

Read that as a buyer and the whole question changes shape. BentoBox is no longer a website subscription you can add to whatever you already run. It is a module of a point of sale platform. If you are on Toast, Square, SpotOn, Aloha or Lightspeed, the real price of a BentoBox website now includes replacing your register.

The record

What changed, and when?

Three steps, two of them dated by the companies themselves. Where a date is not published, this page says so rather than guessing.

  1. November 2021

Fiserv, which owns Clover, acquired BentoBox

Clover's own blog announced the completed acquisition on 22 November 2021, framing it as an expansion of Clover's dining solutions. At that point BentoBox still ran as its own brand with its own sales motion, which is why so many pricing articles written between 2022 and 2025 still quote BentoBox as a standalone subscription.

  2. Now, date not published

    BentoBox became Clover

getbento.com today opens with "BentoBox is now Clover" and describes the restaurant marketing and commerce products as part of the Clover ecosystem. Clover has not published the date the brands merged commercially, so this page does not invent one. What matters to a buyer is that the BentoBox brand is no longer the thing you sign for.

  3. Now, and this is the important one

You cannot buy BentoBox unless you run Clover

The BentoBox pricing page states it directly: "Currently, BentoBox products/services are only available to Clover POS customers." That single sentence changes the question from "what does the website cost" to "what does switching my point of sale cost," which is a much larger decision than a website subscription.

The real bill

What will actually be on my invoice?

Four lines, and not one of them is published in a form we could verify on 26 July 2026. That is the honest state of BentoBox pricing, and it is worth knowing before you take the demo rather than after.

Cost line Published? What to ask for in writing
Clover POS hardware Not published to a live fetch Because BentoBox now requires Clover, a terminal, a printer and a card reader can enter the conversation for a restaurant that was only shopping for a website. Ask for the hardware list, the per-unit price, whether any of it is leased, and what happens to leased hardware if you cancel.
Clover software plan Not published to a live fetch Clover sells tiered restaurant software plans on clover.com. The prices are rendered by the page's own scripts and did not resolve when we fetched the page on 26 July 2026, so this page does not restate them. Get the current plan name and monthly figure from Clover in writing.
Card processing Not published to a live fetch Clover is a Fiserv payments product first and a software product second, which means the processing rate is a central part of the economics rather than a footnote. Ask for the percentage, the per-transaction amount, whether the rate is interchange-plus or flat, and whether it is contractually locked.
BentoBox modules Not published Websites, online ordering, events and ticketing, gift cards and catering enquiries were separately priced modules under the old BentoBox model. getbento.com publishes no price for any of them today and routes existing customers to a customer success manager or hello@getbento.com. Ask for a line item per module.

Clover does publish restaurant plan pricing on clover.com. Those figures are rendered by the page’s own scripts and did not resolve to a live fetch on 26 July 2026, so this page deliberately does not restate them from memory or from a third party. Ask Clover for the current plan name and monthly price directly.

A warning about the other search results

Why do the pricing sites disagree about BentoBox?

Search "BentoBox pricing" and you will find directory pages quoting entry prices that are not remotely close to each other. There are two reasons, and neither of them is a conspiracy. First, BentoBox was custom-quoted per restaurant long before the Clover fold-in, with websites, online ordering, events and ticketing, gift cards and catering enquiries priced as separate modules; two restaurants with the same logo on the invoice could pay very different amounts. Second, most of those pages were written years ago and never revisited.

The practical rule: a price with no source and no access date is not a price, it is a rumour. This page will not repeat one. If BentoBox or Clover publishes a figure, we will quote it here with the date it was read.

Honest fit

Who is BentoBox still the right answer for?

Restaurants already running Clover, where the website is the brand. BentoBox earned its reputation on hospitality sites that look designed instead of templated, and on selling what a chef-led venue actually sells: ticketed dinners, private events, gift cards and enquiry forms that do not feel like a support desk. If you run a destination restaurant on Clover and your site is your first impression, that is a genuine argument and it is not one we are going to talk you out of.

The buying requirement is what narrows it. A website platform that first requires you to change your point of sale is a different purchase from a website platform. Switching registers means new hardware, retrained staff, remapped menus, rebuilt reporting and a new processing relationship, and none of that is recovered by a prettier homepage. If you are not already on Clover, price the switch honestly before you price the site.

Worth separating the two jobs. A beautiful brand site and a working direct ordering channel are related but not the same, and plenty of operators need the second far more urgently than the first. Our restaurant website guide and the commission-free ordering guide take those two jobs one at a time.

The other structure

How does Zayos compare on cost?

Zayos is a smaller purchase aimed at a different job. Here is the difference stated plainly, including where it does not apply.

Published, and no POS prerequisite

$499 Operator, $599 Operator plus Marketplace, $699 Concierge, per location per month, no setup fee, month to month. You do not have to change your register to buy it, and you can budget it before anyone calls you back.

The diner pays the service fee

$0.99 pickup, $2.99 delivery, $0 dine-in, 10% on catering, paid by the diner at checkout. The restaurant never pays it and keeps 100% of food revenue and 100% of tips, so a busy month does not raise the software bill.

Built around the ordering channel

The point of Zayos is moving orders off the marketplaces, where base commission runs 15% to 30% and the blended real cost runs 25% to 35% once delivery, in-app marketing and processing stack. At $599 the Otter connection puts Uber Eats, DoorDash and Grubhub tickets on the same kitchen tablet as direct orders.

Where BentoBox is still ahead

Design range and hospitality commerce. Events and ticketing, private dining enquiries, and a level of visual craft that a fine-dining brand may value more than a fee structure. Zayos does not sell ticketed events, and if that is the reason you are shopping, say so early in both conversations.

Straight answers

BentoBox cost questions, answered.

How much does BentoBox cost per month?
BentoBox does not publish a monthly price. As of 26 July 2026 there is no dollar figure anywhere on getbento.com or its pricing page. The page states that BentoBox is now Clover and that BentoBox products and services are currently only available to Clover POS customers, and it directs existing customers to their customer success manager or to hello@getbento.com. Any monthly figure you see quoted for BentoBox today comes from a third party, not from BentoBox.
Is BentoBox still a separate company?
No. Fiserv, which owns Clover, completed its acquisition of BentoBox in an announcement dated 22 November 2021, and getbento.com now opens with the line "BentoBox is now Clover." The products still exist and still carry the BentoBox name in places, but commercially they are sold inside Clover. If a salesperson is quoting you standalone BentoBox pricing, ask them to put the Clover requirement in writing.
Can I buy BentoBox without a Clover POS?
Per BentoBox's own pricing page, no: "Currently, BentoBox products/services are only available to Clover POS customers." For a restaurant already running Clover this is a non-issue. For a restaurant running Toast, Square, SpotOn, Aloha or Lightspeed, it means the true cost of a BentoBox website includes replacing your point of sale, retraining staff, and migrating menus and reporting. That is a far bigger project than a website redesign.
Why do pricing sites disagree so much about BentoBox?
Because they are all guessing at different things from different years. BentoBox was custom-quoted per restaurant even before the Clover fold-in, with separate modules for websites, ordering, events, gift cards and catering, so two restaurants could pay very different amounts for the same brand name. Add several years of directory pages that were never refreshed and you get entry prices that differ by a factor of several. None of them are sourced to BentoBox, so this page does not repeat any of them.
Is BentoBox worth it for a restaurant?
For the right restaurant, genuinely yes. BentoBox built its reputation on restaurant websites that look designed rather than templated, and on selling the things a hospitality-led venue actually sells: events, ticketed dinners, gift cards and private dining enquiries. If you are already on Clover and your brand lives or dies on how the website feels, that is a real argument. If you are on another point of sale, the buying requirement is now the deciding factor, not the design.
How does BentoBox compare to Zayos on cost?
The difference is knowability. Zayos publishes its price: $499 Operator, $599 Operator plus Marketplace, $699 Concierge, per location per month, no setup fee, month to month, and no point of sale you are required to buy first. The diner pays the service fee at checkout ($0.99 pickup, $2.99 delivery, $0 dine-in, 10% on catering) and the restaurant keeps 100% of food revenue and 100% of tips. BentoBox today is a quote inside a Clover bundle. Where BentoBox still wins is design-led hospitality sites with events and ticketing, which is a different job from moving delivery orders onto a direct channel.
