Published July 2026 · Updated July 26, 2026
UpMenu costs $49, $89 or $169 per month per location, and each plan caps monthly orders at 75, 210 or unlimited. Extra orders bill at $1.90 each. There is no setup fee and no contract. Add-ons such as the mobile app cost extra.
What does UpMenu charge per month?
Read live from upmenu.com/pricing on 26 July 2026. UpMenu prints its order caps, its overage rate and its add-on list on the same page, which is rarer in this category than it should be.
| Line item | Price | What it actually covers |
|---|---|---|
| Basic | $49 / month | Includes 75 orders per month. Online ordering, a website, QR code menu, menu management, 50 plus templates, multi location support and online payments. Published on upmenu.com/pricing. |
| Standard | $89 / month | Includes 210 orders per month. Adds tableside ordering, table reservations, email and SMS marketing, coupons, pre ordering and integrations. |
| Premium | $169 / month | Unlimited orders. Adds marketing automation, gift cards, inventory, item recommendations, multiple menus, API access and removal of UpMenu branding. |
| Orders over the cap | $1.90 per order | Applies to Basic and Standard. UpMenu gives you a toggle: leave "Accept additional orders" on and the extras land on your next invoice, or switch it off and online ordering stops when you hit the cap. |
| Setup fee | $0 | The pricing page states there are no contracts and no setup fees, and lists the setup service (website, mobile app, ordering configuration) at no charge. |
| Contract | None, month to month | Cancel from your account settings at any time. UpMenu states there are no refunds and that you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for. |
| Second location | A second subscription | UpMenu states plainly that all prices are calculated per location and that each additional location needs its own subscription. |
| Annual billing | Not a standard option | The pricing FAQ says annual billing is possible but is not a standard service and has to be arranged with their team. There is no published annual discount. |

What happens when you go over the order limit?
Most online ordering vendors sell you a plan by feature. UpMenu sells you a plan by order count, and that changes how you should shop it. Basic covers 75 orders a month, Standard covers 210, Premium is unlimited. Go past the cap on Basic or Standard and UpMenu bills $1.90 for each extra order on your next invoice, as long as you have left the "Accept additional orders" setting switched on. Switch it off and ordering simply stops when you hit the number.
That single rate creates two crossover points worth writing on a napkin before you pick a plan. Basic stops being the cheaper plan at about 96 orders a month. At 75 included orders plus 21 extras at $1.90, Basic costs $88.90, which is a dime under the $89 Standard plan. Standard stops being the cheaper plan at about 252 orders a month. At 210 included plus 42 extras, Standard costs $168.80 against the $169 Premium plan with no cap at all.
The practical consequence: if your online orders are anywhere near a cap, buy the next plan up rather than riding the overage. The overage is not punitive, but it is a variable cost stapled to a product you probably bought because you wanted a fixed one.
Arithmetic only, using UpMenu’s published rates. Card processing is charged by whichever payment provider you connect and is not included in any figure above.
Which UpMenu add-ons will you actually pay for?
Published add-on prices, all per location unless noted. Ask UpMenu which of these your chosen tier already includes, because the plan tables and the add-on table describe overlapping ground.
The branded mobile app is the one to watch. At $49 a month per location it doubles the cost of the Basic plan, and an app is usually the reason an operator shortlists UpMenu in the first place. The driver app at $14 per driver per month is fair if you run two or three drivers and gets expensive if you run eight. POS integrations are listed at no extra monthly cost, which is a genuine point in UpMenu’s favour, though connecting UpMenu’s own POS is a separate $29 per station.
One more line to plan around: UpMenu prices strictly per location. A three location group is three subscriptions, three mobile app fees if you want an app at each, and three sets of caps to watch. There is no published multi location discount.
Who is UpMenu genuinely the right call for?
One location, under roughly 200 online orders a month, and you want a clean ordering site with a menu you control, without signing anything. At $49 or $89 a month with no setup fee and no contract, the downside of trying it is one month of subscription. If you are testing whether a direct channel can work at all, that is the correct amount of money to risk.
You are past 500 online orders a month across several locations, you need marketplace orders and direct orders landing on one kitchen screen, and you want a partner who configures the whole thing for you. Order caps and per location add-ons stop being a bargain at that size, and the operational work moves back onto your managers.
How does Zayos price the same job?
UpMenu is cheaper. Zayos is bigger. Both statements are true and the gap between them is the whole decision.
Zayos is $499 Operator, $599 Operator plus Marketplace, or $699 Concierge, per location per month, month to month, no setup fee. There is no order limit and no per order surcharge, so a 900 order month and a 300 order month cost the same. UpMenu answers volume with a cap and a $1.90 overage.
On Zayos the checkout fee is flat and paid by the guest: $0.99 pickup, $2.99 delivery, $0 dine in, 10% on catering. The restaurant never pays it and keeps 100% of food revenue and 100% of tips.
At $599 Zayos routes Uber Eats, DoorDash and Grubhub tickets through Otter onto the same kitchen tablet as your direct orders, so staff work one queue. Marketplace commission runs 15% to 30% base and 25% to 35% as a blended real cost once delivery, marketing and processing stack, which is the money direct ordering is meant to claw back.
Price, at low volume, by a wide margin. A cafe doing 60 online orders a month should not pay $499 for anything, and we will tell you that on the phone. UpMenu also publishes its numbers openly, which is the standard this page holds every vendor to, including us.
For context on the volume argument: Naya Grill, in Pompano Beach and West Palm Beach, is live and taking orders on Zayos today and keeps $48k or more a year that used to leave as marketplace commission. That is the size of restaurant a flat plan with no order cap is built for. Zayos is made in Fort Lauderdale, Florida by Zay Revenue Group.
