A diner ordering on Zayos pays a flat $0.99 service fee on pickup and on delivery, $0 on dine in, and 10% on catering. The restaurant is never charged that fee, takes no commission on any ticket, and keeps 100% of food revenue and 100% of tips.

Questions operators ask about the fee
How much is the Zayos service fee?
A flat $0.99 on a pickup order and a flat $0.99 on a delivery order. It is not a percentage, so it does not grow with the basket. A $12 pickup order and a $180 pickup order carry the same $0.99.
Who pays the fee, the restaurant or the diner?
The diner pays it at checkout, where it is listed on its own line before payment. The restaurant is never charged the service fee. That is the part operators most often assume works the other way.
What does the restaurant actually keep?
100% of food revenue and 100% of tips. Zayos takes no percentage of any ticket at any volume. The restaurant pays its flat monthly software price and nothing per order.
Is there a fee on dine in orders?
No. A dine in order placed from a table carries a $0 service fee. The guest is already in the building, so there is nothing to add.
How does catering pricing work?
Catering carries 10% instead of the flat $0.99, because a catering order is a scheduled, high value job with coordination behind it rather than a single counter ticket.
Do tips get touched?
No. Tips pass through in full to the restaurant and its staff. Zayos takes nothing from a tip.
How is that different from a delivery app?
A marketplace charges the restaurant a commission of roughly 15% to 30% of the ticket, and 25% to 35% blended once delivery, marketing and processing fees stack. Zayos charges the restaurant no percentage at all. The diner covers a flat $0.99 instead.
