How much does SpotOn online ordering cost next to Zayos?

Published July 2026 · Updated July 26, 2026

Quick answer

SpotOn Order costs $55 per month per location plus a $200 setup fee, and each third party delivery integration adds $25 per month. That price sits on top of a SpotOn POS plan at $0 or $55 per station, where the card processing rate and contract length differ.

The small bill

What does SpotOn Order itself cost?

Read live from SpotOn’s own online ordering page on 26 July 2026. This is the ordering module only. The platform it plugs into is priced separately, and that is the part worth your attention.

Line item Published price Detail
SpotOn Order $55 / month per location The online ordering product itself. Published on spoton.com/solutions/online-ordering. Includes an ordering menu page, the GoTo Place app, Order with Google, ordering analytics and DoorDash Drive integration.
SpotOn Order setup $200 one time A one time setup fee for online ordering, published on the same page. Separate from any POS implementation fee.
Marketplace integrations $25 / month each DoorDash and Uber Eats integrations are listed at $25 per month each. Two channels is $50 a month on top of the $55.
Commission on direct orders $0 SpotOn markets SpotOn Order as commission free on direct orders, and that is accurate. The marketplaces still charge their own commission on orders that originate with them.
SpotOn Delivery $7.95 per delivery order SpotOn publishes a flat $7.95 per delivery order on its own blog and states the real cost can fall to $3 or $4 when part of the fee is passed to the guest. Who bears it is a configuration decision, so settle it before launch.
The bill underneath it

What does the POS underneath it cost?

All figures from spoton.com/pricing on 26 July 2026. Watch the confusing coincidence: SpotOn Order is $55 a month per location and POS Essentials is $55 a month per station. They are two separate charges that happen to share a number.

Line item Published price Detail
All-In plan $0 / station per month Card present processing at 2.79% plus $0.20, keyed at 3.79% plus $0.20. Two year minimum term, and processing minimums apply. The software is free because the processing rate carries it.
POS Essentials $55 / station per month Card present processing at 2.45% plus $0.15 (Amex 3.19% plus $0.15), keyed at 3.45% plus $0.15. Month to month, no two year term.
Core bundle $50 / month plus 20bps of GPV An add-on bundle priced at $50 a month plus 20 basis points of gross processing volume, capped at $200. Basis points are hundredths of a percent, so 20bps is 0.20% of what you run through the terminal.
Hardware $200 to $995 per unit Published list and promotional prices on 26 July 2026: Station 15 at $995 shown discounted to $750, Station 10 at $550 shown at $415, handheld at $500 shown at $375, guest facing display $200, wireless router $300.
Implementation Not published The pricing page says implementation is required but does not state the amount. Additional location pricing is also not published. Ask for both in writing.
The real math

Why is the $0 plan not the cheap one?

One station, $40,000 of card volume a month across 1,000 card transactions. Card present rates, published figures only.

All-In · $0 per station
~$1,316
$0 software plus 2.79% of $40,000 ($1,116) plus 1,000 transactions at $0.20 ($200). Two year minimum term.
POS Essentials · $55 per station
~$1,185
$55 software plus 2.45% of $40,000 ($980) plus 1,000 transactions at $0.15 ($150). Month to month.

At that volume the free software plan costs roughly $131 a month more than the paid one, and it asks for a two year commitment to do it. Over the full term that is about $3,144. The gap is not hidden: SpotOn prints both rates on the same page, which is more than most of this category does. It is simply the oldest trade in payments, software priced at zero and recovered in basis points.

Two things flip the answer. If your card volume is small, the 0.34% rate difference is worth less than the $55 and All-In wins. If you take a lot of American Express, note that POS Essentials prices Amex at 3.19% plus $0.15, so run your own mix rather than the average. The right way to shop a payments backed platform is to price your own monthly card volume against both rate cards, not to read the software line.

Add the ordering module on top and a single location running two marketplace integrations is at $55 plus $50 a month before the POS bill, plus the one time $200 ordering setup fee and an implementation fee that SpotOn requires but does not publish.

Honest fit

Who should buy SpotOn Order?

It is the obvious move if

You already run SpotOn POS and you are happy with it. $55 a month and a $200 setup fee to add commission free direct ordering that is already wired into your menu, your reporting and your terminal is good value, and nothing on this page argues otherwise. Buying ordering from your POS vendor removes the integration problem entirely, and integration is where most ordering projects actually fail.

Think harder if

You do not run SpotOn POS. Then the real question is not $55 a month, it is whether you want to change your point of sale, sign a processing agreement, buy terminals at $200 to $995 a unit and accept a two year term to get an ordering page. That is a much larger decision, and the ordering module is the smallest number in it.

The other structure

How is Zayos priced differently?

SpotOn sells an ordering module attached to a payments relationship. Zayos sells the direct channel as the product. Different shapes, different buyers.

One number, no term

$499 Operator, $599 Operator plus Marketplace, or $699 Concierge per location per month. No setup fee, month to month, no two year minimum and no processing minimum to hit.

The guest pays the checkout fee

$0.99 pickup, $2.99 delivery, $0 dine in, 10% on catering, paid by the diner at checkout. The restaurant never pays it and keeps 100% of food revenue and 100% of tips.

Marketplace tickets included at $599

Uber Eats, DoorDash and Grubhub orders arrive through Otter on the same kitchen tablet as direct orders, with no per channel monthly charge. Marketplace commission itself runs 15% to 30% base and 25% to 35% blended once delivery, marketing and processing stack, which is the money a direct channel exists to take back.

Where SpotOn genuinely wins

Price per line, and one throat to choke. If your POS, your payments and your ordering all come from SpotOn, there is nobody to blame and nobody to coordinate. For an operator who values that above everything, SpotOn is a legitimate answer and $55 a month is a fair price for the module.

Zayos is made in Fort Lauderdale, Florida by Zay Revenue Group, and carries no processing relationship of its own, so there is no rate to renegotiate and no minimum volume to hit. Naya Grill, in Pompano Beach and West Palm Beach, is live and taking orders on it today and keeps $48k or more a year that used to leave as marketplace commission.

Straight answers

SpotOn cost questions, answered.

How much does SpotOn online ordering cost?
Per SpotOn’s own online ordering page, accessed 26 July 2026, SpotOn Order costs $55 a month per location plus a one time $200 setup fee. Each third party delivery integration, such as DoorDash or Uber Eats, adds $25 a month. Direct orders through SpotOn Order carry no commission. SpotOn Delivery is published separately at a flat $7.95 per delivery order.
Is SpotOn online ordering free with the POS?
No. SpotOn Order is priced separately at $55 a month per location with a $200 setup fee, and it connects to a SpotOn POS plan that has its own monthly cost, processing rate and term. The two bills are independent, so price the pair together. A location on the All-In plan pays $0 for POS software and still pays $55 for online ordering.
Why is SpotOn’s $0 per month POS plan not the cheapest option?
Because the processing rate carries the software cost. SpotOn publishes All-In at $0 per station with card present processing at 2.79% plus $0.20 on a two year minimum term, and POS Essentials at $55 per station with card present processing at 2.45% plus $0.15, month to month. On $40,000 of monthly card volume across 1,000 transactions, All-In costs about $1,316 and Essentials about $1,185. The free plan is roughly $131 a month more expensive at that volume, and it locks you in for two years.
Does SpotOn charge commission on online orders?
Not on direct orders through SpotOn Order. SpotOn markets it as commission free and nothing on its pricing pages contradicts that. The costs that do exist are the $55 monthly fee, the $200 setup fee, $25 per month for each marketplace integration, the card processing rate on your POS plan, and $7.95 per order if you use SpotOn Delivery. Commission free and fee free are two different claims for every vendor in this category, including us.
How does SpotOn online ordering compare to Zayos on price?
SpotOn Order is far cheaper as a line item, at $55 a month against Zayos at $499, $599 or $699 per location per month. The comparison is not like for like: SpotOn Order is an ordering module bolted to a SpotOn POS you also pay for, with a processing rate attached and, on the All-In plan, a two year term. Zayos is a full direct ordering platform, month to month with no setup fee, where the diner pays a flat service fee of $0.99 pickup, $2.99 delivery, $0 dine in and 10% on catering, and the restaurant keeps 100% of food revenue and tips. If you already run SpotOn POS and are happy with it, adding SpotOn Order is the cheap and sensible move.
